firewire type 6ft 6 ins pinny tail

i bought some sheet pu 3mm foam that i have had for a while , i decided to make a firewire type board, rather than use balsa for the rails i have used some leftover foam from and old clark green foam board that i have ,

the rails will be covered in carbon cloth , the fin plugs are surrounded by inserts of carbon to isolate the plugs from the core to minimise any water intrusion,

the core is 1 lb eps which will be vented ,

cherry wood and balsa 5 finner

this is a total experiment on a lot of fronts, the core is an extruded polystyrene, the bottom is cherry wood and the top is balsa wood , the fin system is fcs in the rears but the fronts are the f box system,

f box are compatible with fcs type fins and also future fin systems as well, good idea i think, you could try vectors with h2/s in the rear or any combination that has/nt been possible before,

i have made the rear fins as close as i can to what gregg griffin seems to be doing as well as running a tucked edge from to rear,

5ft 8 ins x 19 1/2 ins spoon nose

this was a board for one of my sons , a copy of one of his boards that he rides when the surf is on the small side,

it has a bonzer type single into double concave that is pressed into the foam when attaching the bottom wood,

the fins are a h2 small in the rear and the sides are a copy of a friends own design , they seem to work really well,

the board is loose but still really drivey
