welcome
hi, welcome to my blog , i hope you enjoy looking at some of the boards i have made ,
i have tried to make boards that are sometimes lighter, most times stronger and all the time asthetically pleasing to the eye,
i use balsa and other woods as an outside laminate both as a sandwhich and as a single panel to create boards that have an engineered flex,
i use cores of polyutherane and polystyrene , polystyrene both in the extruded and expanded form, again to give more and better options for both the finished weight and different flex patterns,
most of the time i use epoxies not that i believe that epoxies are totally better but just as an other option in terms of use, epoxy is better for some things , polyester is better for others,
some of the short boards have been around 4 3/4 lb in weight both with good strength and durability, epoxy right through ,
something like a 6 ft 8 ins bonzer would be 8 lb but with a polyester outer glass to give a good polish finish,
so by the use of both resins i can use them to give the best of both qualities,
